Our founders Drs Michael and Anthony Zybutz, brothers, are renowned for their work in the field of implant dentistry and smile restoration.

Dental implants are a clinically proven and long-lasting tooth replacement treatment.  They are ideal for people who are seeking a fixed (non-removable) solution to their loose and missing teeth.

Outstanding specialist-led clinical care

Leaders in the Teeth in a Day same day dental implant technique, they have restored smiles and confidence for thousands of patients who lived with the pain, discomfort and the embarrassment of loose, failing and missing teeth, or uncomfortable dentures.

Michael and Anthony have appeared as the expert dentists on multiple television series, including Channel 5’s Botched Up Bodies, Discovery Channel’s ‘My Naked Secret’ and primetime TV show ‘This Time Next Year’.

What are dental implants?

Dental implants are a clinically proven tooth replacement solution where titanium screws are used to replace natural tooth roots.

They are a “fixed” tooth replacement solution, which means that, unlike dentures, they are not removable by the patient.

They are the closest option in terms of fit and function to natural teeth, enabling you to bite and chew normally, as well as giving you a beautiful smile.

Tooth replacement for one or more teeth

Dental implants can be used to replace single or multiple missing teeth.

Full mouth dental implants replace full lower or upper jaws of teeth (also known as upper or lower arches).

If dental implants are looked after with proper care, which should include a good at-home oral hygiene routine and regular dental check-ups to maintain oral health, they can last many years, even a lifetime.

Dental implants – who are they for?

Dental implants could be the right solution for you if:

  • You need a permanent, fixed solution for your loose and missing teeth
  • You’d love to smile confidently, with a new smile
  • You don’t want to wear uncomfortable removable dentures
  • You want to eat and enjoy all types of foods, comfortably and without worry – even crunchy apples

You’d like an end to the constant dental infections and pain caused by your failing teeth

Am I suitable for dental implants?

Dental implants are a tooth replacement solution suitable for most adults.

Teeth in a Day dental implants can be life-changing for anyone requiring whole sets of upper or lower teeth restored.

They are suitable even for people who have been told that they are not suitable for dental implants due to their severe gum disease or bone loss or poor bone density.

How will I be assessed?

As with any surgical procedure, it is vital that each patient is carefully assessed for suitability for dental implant treatment. Everyone has their own medical history and personal needs.

Your initial consultation

At David Neal, all patients considering dental implants attend an initial consultation with one of our highly trained implant dentists.

They talk to you about your needs and wishes and your medical history.

They also give you a thorough examination, talk you through all the options available to you and answer any questions you may have.

If your dentist feels you are likely to be suitable for dental implants, and if you wish to progress, the next stage is to have a CT scan.

Why do I need a CT scan?

CT scans show the quantity and quality of your underlying bone, and are used to ensure precise implant placement during surgery.

The CT scans are analysed by your implant surgeon to finally confirm your suitability.

We then provide you with a detailed treatment plan, outlining all aspects of your treatment to replace your missing teeth, including cost.

Occasionally, after clinical assessment, patients are not assessed as suitable for dental implants. In these instances, your dentist will discuss alternative solutions with you.

Teeth in a Day dental implants

Teeth in a Day is the most advanced dental implant technique.

It is sometimes known as same day teeth, smile in a day or All on 4.

All on 4 refers to fact that just four dental implants are usually used to secure full sets of upper or lower jaw replacement teeth.

Four supporting implants offer the most stable supporting configuration; just like four legs supporting a chair or table.

A life-changing solution

Being able to eat and drink anything you want, or smiling without feeling self-conscious, are things you take for granted if you’ve never struggled with loose and missing teeth, or dentures.
For people living with dental challenges every day, Teeth in a Day can be life-transforming, restoring oral health, full sets of beautiful teeth and a confident smile in a single day.

Three key stages to your new smile:

1) Consultation, CT scan and assessment. Every patient is carefully assessed to ensure they are medically suitable for treatment

2) Surgery day – your new teeth and smile! Any necessary teeth are extracted, the implants are placed and a full set of bespoke temporary teeth are secured on top, all on the same day.

3) Your final teeth are placed. About 3 months later, after the healing phase, we exchange your temporary teeth for your final long-lasting set (no surgery required).

Teeth in a Day versus traditional implants

With traditional implants, multiple surgical procedures for extractions, bone grafts and dental implant surgery are often required, with months of healing time in between each stage.

With All on 4 implants, any necessary extractions, the implant placement and the fitting of the first set of fixed teeth are safely completed in a single surgical appointment.

Once dental implants have been surgically placed, it takes around 3 months for the bone to integrate with the implants. This process is called osseointegration, sometimes referred to as “the healing phase”.

During this time, with traditional techniques, patients live with gaps, or wear a removable denture, until the final set of teeth is placed.

With All on 4, the first set of teeth remains in place, night and day, until exchanged for the final teeth – no surgery is required.

Overall, All on 4 (Teeth in a Day) tretament requires fewer surgical procedures, significantly less healing time and is less invasive.

How can you do it in a day?

The Teeth in a Day procedure is known as a same day dental implant treatment as it condenses the stages to a single surgical appointment.

So, not only is it a quicker treatment time, it’s less invasive for the patient as there is only one surgical appointment and fewer implants are used.

Any necessary teeth are extracted; the dental implant surgery and the placement of a temporary bridge of fixed teeth take place on the same day.

Four dental implants are placed at very specific angles in each jaw, providing maximum stability to support the bridge of teeth.

Patients leave with a full set of temporary replacement teeth, fixed on dental implants – and a beautiful new smile.

These new temporary teeth remain securely in place during the healing phase (no gaps and no need to remove them for cleaning). They are then exchanged for your final, long-lasting set at a non-surgical appointment.

Bone grafting is rarely required, even for patients with extreme gum disease or bone loss.

The benefits of dental implants

Dental implants are ideal for single or multiple tooth loss, or full sets of teeth

You regain a beautiful smile – no more gaps, loose or decaying teeth

They look and function just like real teeth

Your confidence is restored - you can smile without feeling self-conscious

Your new teeth stay permanently in place – no more dentures

They are a permanent solution – if you look after them well, they can last a lifetime

You can bite and chew normally again, as if you had natural teeth

Denture wearers can fully taste their food again - your palate is not covered by a plate

Treatment is virtually pain-free

Suitable even if you have gum disease, periodontal disease or bone loss – usually without the need for a bone graft

Dental implant costs

Dental implants are a significant investment in your well-being and, as a private dental treatment, cost can be a key consideration when selecting your dental implant team.

Dental implants are not usually available on the NHS.

Dental implant costs vary widely and, with so many dentists offering treatment, it can be confusing trying to compare one dental clinic against another.

Implant costs at David Neal Dental

At David Neal Dental, our clinical care is led by General Dental Council registered specialist periodontists.

We use the highest quality implants and materials to safely deliver consistently outstanding results and aesthetics. We are proud to offer the very best in patient care, offering a bespoke treatment experience for every patient.

Our treatment costs are all inclusive – inclusive of all appointments, materials (dental implants, crowns, abutments etc).

Spreading the cost of treatment

We offer payment plans for suitable patients who would like to spread the cost of implant treatment.

Your Patient Co-ordinator will be happy to talk you through our payment plans.

Why do dental implants costs vary?

There are many reasons why dental implant costs vary – from the experience of the team performing your treatment to the quality of the materials used.

It’s worth bearing the following points in mind so you can weigh up both the patient experience and financial value:

  • Choose a team that you feel comfortable with. Find a team you trust to give you the results, care and peace of mind you are looking for.
  • Although clinically proven with a high overall success rate, dental implants involve a surgical procedure. Research the qualifications and experience of your dental implants surgeon; ask how regularly and recently they placed dental implants. It’s worth investing in the best clinical care to deliver the results you expect.
  • Read verified patient reviews – they are the best indicator of the results and experience you are likely to receive.
  • Poor quality implants can be a factor in failed implant treatment outcomes. Low cost can reflect the use of low quality materials.
  • Dental treatments abroad are often less expensive than in the UK. Factor in the cost of travel, including for check-ups and in case things don’t go to plan as you may need to return for corrective work.
  • Check out the credentials of the dental clinic you are considering, how they intend to deal with any complications once you are back home, and also how the dental industry is regulated in the destination country.
